Just wondering if any of you lads have ever bought shooting stuff off ebay from other countries, i.e Hong kong/china?? Looking at the prices compared to our prices here, its a big difference. But im having trouble letting myself take the risk of never recieving the product and losing my money, im looking at scopes and bi pods, if anybody has any experience of buying foreign please can you recommend sellers to me that you have had a good result from, cheers in advance

i take it, it doesn't review specs? just messing pal

I've had good and bad....

Good... Jackets and trousers really cheap and have been very good quality.

I mainly use .20 and there's loads of pellets that most shops don't stock, very well priced too especially if you buy in bulk.

Good quality arrows for my bows and crossbow, LOADS cheaper than shop prices. Other archery gear too...

Bad... Two Fisher Price scopes... One was ment to be a Tasco and one a Simmons. The Tasco now lives on top of my mate's little lads toy M16 (really!!) and the Simmons is of no use at all, total shite even as a toy. They were cheap coppies and there's loads of them as well as seconds on ebay... That said, I know some of the lads on here have had good scopes from there so maybe I've just been unlucky.

Cheers.

Edit to say... Have a good look at the seller's feedback before you buy.

Think im going to get my scope from ramsbottoms, to much of a risk for what its costing, to buy it from abroad, just to lose my cash or for it to be a cheap replica, i was thinking more of the bi pod, £17 posted and its identical to the deben one, which is going for around £40/50 over here, £17 isnt going to break the bank, but the scope im getting is £105 and i dare'nt take a chance, but for £17 i just might take a gamble

I've had four scopes from JSR and they've been spot on

Two Walthers, a Luger and one of their own 2-7x32's that's one of my own personal favourites. I got it to go on my King Ratty but was so impressed with the optics it now lives on my HW90 that I use most of the time.

Edit... I forgot I also have two Simmons 8 Point 1.5-5x32's from them. My Ratty now wears one and my Lightning wears the other. Ramsbottom's are a first class act to deal with.

Well i'v had 3 scopes from china (didn't learn me lesson) and they have been poor..some even broke while zero-ing in

Bipod's another story..a lot more reliable and fairly sturdy

I bought a few north face goretex coats aswell..They were excellent value for money..also invested in uggs and in my honest opinion clotheswise its depends totally

on the seller and their quality as you dont always get what you see in the pics...STAY AWAY FROM THE SCOPES MATEY.!

Cheers, im definatley not going to get the scope from abroad, im gunna try the bi pod though, to much of a price difference and not as much risk of faults as there would be in gettin a scope, ramsbottoms for the scope and its looking like hong kong for the bi pod

my leapers 4-16x50 AO IR came from china, took a while but came with a note explaining why, summat to do with changing delivery companys, its been off the rifle a few times for servicing etc and i've not had it on for any massive length of time to tell you about its long term performance, but on the few times i have been out with it i've had kills and its remained consistent. oh and it had pretty much the same specs as my mates 260 quid hawke sidewinder tac 30 whatever, minus posh reticle, but only cost me 50 quid. the seller was called "2urhands"

I've had Scope, Bipod, Lamps, Chargers, Batteries, Filters and LRF; all from Hong Kong. Quality stuff  Scope and LRF were "International Signature Required" and the sellers both gave tracking numbers and I followed the goods all the way to York

The LRF was held up in customs for two days though and I thought they would hammer me for import duty, but they didn't :D

Not had a single problem with any of them, the scope is a Leupold second and is fantastic, the lamp is as good if not better than the ones costing three to four times as much, the LRF is spot on and (although not needed for airgun shooting) is accurate out to 800 yards, I did have to replace the battery charger though as it broke when the wife chucked it at me and it hit the wall then the floor  Still I don't suppose one purchased from a dealer in the UK (same charger would have set me back £25 if I got it from a shop over here) would have survived that though :11:
